Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Appliance removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Anchorage.

How much does appliance removal cost in Anchorage?

A full-size household refrigerator is $109 as a single item. A washing machine is $109, and a dryer is $109. Other appliances have their own catalog prices. Choose each item to see your exact total before booking; disposal and recycling costs are included in the item price.

Can I get same-day appliance pickup in Anchorage?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Your pickup is scheduled for a day rather than an exact arrival appointment, and we text you before arrival. Have the appliance disconnected and ready outside by your pickup readiness time.

Can you take a washing machine and dryer in one pickup?

Yes. Add one Washing machine and one Dryer so both units are included in the price. They are separate items, even when you bought them as a set. If yours is a single combined unit or the machines still need to be unstacked, contact us before booking to confirm the scope.

Will you disconnect my appliance or carry it out?

Dropcurb picks up appliances that are already disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange uninstallation, utility disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Use a qualified professional for gas, hardwired or plumbing connections when needed. We handle loading and haul-away from the outdoor pickup spot.

Can I book if the delivery company did not take my old appliance?

Yes. Dropcurb pickup is separate from buying or installing a replacement, so you can book removal on its own. Select the old appliance, choose a pickup day and arrange for it to be disconnected and accessible outside. If your new delivery is still ahead, confirm the retailer’s haul-away arrangements before booking a separate pickup.

Where can an Anchorage resident take a washer or dryer?

SWS lists washers and dryers among the appliances recycled separately at the Central Transfer Station and Anchorage Regional Landfill. Confirm the current residential load rate and preparation before travel.Official guidance

What preparation does SWS require for a refrigerator?

Empty it and remove the doors before entering the facility. The 2026 rate sheet lists a separate refrigerant-removal charge and disposal charge for each refrigerator or freezer.Official guidance

What should I confirm before self-hauling an Anchorage load?

Confirm the exact facility, material acceptance, current charge and load limit. Cover and secure the load, and keep refrigerant appliances, electronics, tires, construction debris and natural wood separated under their item-specific rules.Official guidance
