So how does Dropcurb make money?
The customer pays Dropcurb for the pickup. We pay you per job and keep a cut for dispatch, support, and bringing you the work — and you keep 100% of your tips. The pay you see when you claim is the pay you get. No deductions, no surprises.

How and when do I actually get paid?+
Same day, via PayPal, once the job is confirmed. You see your exact pay before you ever claim a job — that number is what lands in your account. No invoicing, no net-30, no waiting on a paycheck.
Is there really no cost to join?+
Correct. No sign-up fee, no subscription, no franchise buy-in, and no leads to buy. We make our money from what the customer pays for the pickup — never from you. You bring a vehicle and a phone; that’s the whole investment.
How often will there be jobs near me?+
It depends on your area — the busier your metro, the more texts you’ll get. Early on it varies, and we’re adding customers every week. You’re never obligated to take anything: claim the jobs that fit your day and ignore the rest.
What if I claim a job and something comes up?+
Release it early in the app and it goes back out so another hauler can grab it. Life happens. Just don’t no-show on a customer who’s expecting you — repeated no-shows hurt your standing and shape the jobs you get offered next.
Do I need insurance or a special license?+
For solo curbside pickups: a valid driver’s license and your own vehicle. That’s it. If you’re bringing a crew to run donation pickups as a business, you’ll need commercial auto and general liability insurance — we verify it during the operator application.
What am I actually picking up?+
Everyday household stuff — furniture, mattresses, couches, appliances, and general junk, already set out at the curb. We don’t send you after hazardous materials, and on the curbside side you never have to go inside anyone’s home.
Do I have to deal with customers?+
Almost never. The items are at the curb when you arrive — no knocking, no walkthrough, no haggling. You grab what’s on the list, snap your photos, and go. We handle the customer texts and the scheduling.
Can I do this part-time, around another job?+
Absolutely — most haulers do exactly that. There are no minimums and no set schedule. Claim a job between other things, knock it out in about half an hour, and get paid the same day.
