Will the city take it?
Philadelphia separates regular compactible large items from appointment-only appliances, metal-frame furniture and flat-screen TVs. The bulk program serves eligible homes with up to six units; larger buildings, condominiums and commercial properties need private arrangements.
Label approved appointment items with the four-letter pickup code from the confirmation email. Use the normal curb or rear-driveway collection point and follow the appointment's set-out window; crews do not enter homes.
Mattresses and compactible furniture follow regular collection instructions. Seasonal hours differ, and Center City has a separate set-out window; check the address's rules before placing items outside.

Can I book a pickup for today?+
Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Choose from the dates shown at checkout. Your booking is for a pickup day, and we text you when your hauler is on the way.
Do my items need to be outside when I book?+
You can book while your items are still inside. Arrange any indoor carrying and have everything outside and accessible according to your confirmation. We load and haul it away from there. Contact us before booking if your property has restricted access.
Does a couch need a bulk appointment?+
The frame matters. Compactible wooden-frame furniture can use the regular large-item allowance, while metal-frame furniture belongs in the appointment program. Keep the item intact and confirm uncertain pieces with the City.Official guidance
