Dallas Sanitation Brush & Bulky Trash is free but runs once monthly during the week of the 4th Monday by district. As of July 1, 2026, residents are capped at 10 cubic yards per month (equivalent to 10 household ovens). The city runs a Brush & Bulky Item Separation Pilot requiring residents in pilot districts to separate bulky items from green waste (brush) into separate piles on collection day. Once a year, residents can request a 20-cubic-yard oversize collection by calling 311 at least a week in advance. Exceeding 10 cu yd without requesting oversize results in collection plus a fee assessed on the dwelling unit's water bill.
