The 2026 dates are January 17, April 18 and July 18, and the fall date is printed as October 17 in the landfill's date list and October 19 in its Free Day block, so confirm it at 256-236-2411 before loading.

Anniston's curbside bulk pile takes furniture, mattresses and bed springs and similar household items, one pile a week of up to 6 feet by 6 feet by 4 feet. What it will not take, including concrete, dirt, shingles, rocks, sawdust, tires, stumps and hazardous material, has a county route. The Calhoun County Landfill on Morrisville Road runs a transfer station for electronics and household trash, a construction and demolition landfill, and recycling areas for tires, paint, antifreeze, oil, metal and brush. The city's own recycling trailers take cardboard only, and the county recycling office on Bynum Leatherwood Road is the contact for everything else.
