Keep limbs under six feet long and six inches thick, use biodegradable paper bags rather than plastic, keep the pile three feet from obstructions, and separate yard debris from bulk items.
Foley asks for everything at the roadside before 6 a.m., with the bulk pile kept apart from the yard debris and both piles three feet clear of mailboxes, poles and trees. Mixed piles wait until they are separated.
