An exercise bike, elliptical or rower

Get it ready
Describe the frame material and the size when you call, remove any battery or console so it can be handled separately, and keep the machine off the curb until the office confirms which category it falls in.
Items for the annual bulky collection go out by 5:00 a.m. on the collection day, and the city says the night before is fine but no more than twelve hours ahead. The pile sits within five to six feet of the curb and at least four feet from any other object, never under power lines or tree limbs and never blocking a street, sidewalk or ditch line, and everything goes on the ground rather than in a container. Only the items that were scheduled are removed, so anything left behind stays the household's responsibility.
The free annual collection takes a single category at a time, with up to five items in that category, and the three published categories are bulk household, bulk metal and bulk brush. A refrigerator, freezer, air conditioner or water cooler sits in the metal category but still needs the separate Freon recovery appointment, and brush is limited to three standard pick-up-truck loads with limbs no longer than 12 feet and no more than twelve inches in diameter.

No charge. One free collection a year for a qualifying household with a trash cart. Businesses, apartments, condos, mobile homes, complexes of three or more units, non-profits and industrial sites are excluded.
