Household chemicals stay in original labelled containers
Batteries, cleaners, pesticides, oil-based paints, solvents, pool chemicals, motor oil and sharps all go to the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility at the Department of Solid Waste Services. Everything must carry its original label, and the facility turns away unlabelled or unknown products.

Resident e-waste including computer towers, laptops, monitors, cell phones, televisions up to a 27 inch tube size and flat screens of any size, plus household hazardous waste such as labelled batteries, cleaners, pesticides, pool chemicals, oil-based paints, solvents, motor oil, antifreeze and sharps in a heavy clear container.
No commercial hazardous waste and no business e-waste. Hazardous products must carry original labels; unlabelled or unknown products are refused. Household computers also have a separate county district drop-off center at the landfill, limited to two free units per year for Sebastian County residents.
