Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Televisions and electronics

Special rules apply

The operator's bulk guidelines list electronics and related items alongside appliances, while the town's hazardous waste page routes computers, televisions, phones and small appliances to two specialist recyclers. A television can also go to the regional household hazardous waste drop-off, where an address in Sahuarita pays a fee that city residents do not.

City cost & eligibility
Electronics added to a town bulk pickup are included in the monthly residential rate and the operator does not price them separately. The regional household hazardous waste program is free only to residents of the city of Tucson and charges $15 for an address in Sahuarita, with a driver licence or a current utility bill needed as proof. Confirm the current fee and the accepted device list with either route before loading the car.
When & how
Add a television to a scheduled town bulk pickup, or use the household hazardous waste drop-off at the regional landfill on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., which closes on the second Saturday of the month outside the summer pause.
Get it ready
Wipe personal data from a computer or phone before it leaves the house, and keep electronics out of the blue recycling cart, because the city's page states that they can cause fires and damage recycling equipment. Keep batteries and light bulbs out of a bulk pile, since the town routes those to the hazardous waste program.

One town contract now covers trash, recycling and bulky items

Sahuarita moved every occupied property with four or fewer dwelling units onto a single contracted service with Waste Connections of Arizona, so a household no longer arranges its own trash hauler. Weekly trash and recycling ride in standardized carts delivered by the town, and large items wait for a bulk pickup that has to be scheduled in advance. Apartment complexes of five or more units, commercial buildings and construction sites are excluded from the program and continue with private haulers, so a reader in a larger building should confirm who serves the address before booking anything. The town's own page also carries a Madera Highlands notice whose service begins on December 1, 2026 with Friday pickup, so a household in that neighborhood should follow the town notice for its start date.

A bulk pile is confirmed, stacked by hand and capped at four cubic yards

The operator books bulk pickups in its app, states that call-in scheduling is not available, and asks for the pickup date to be confirmed before anything is placed outside. Once the date is confirmed the load is stacked on the street parallel to the front property line where carts normally go, without blocking sidewalks, because the crew collects it by hand. The allowance is four cubic yards, an account has to be in good standing with the current quarter paid, and yard debris is bagged under 50 pounds a bag with limbs under four feet bundled and tied.

What the town bulk pickup will not take

Tires, refrigerators, freezers, wine coolers, hazardous household waste, medical waste, paint, automotive parts, motor oil, batteries, light bulbs, propane or compressed tanks and construction materials such as carpet, concrete, blocks, pavers and brick are refused, and anything with bed bug activity stops a furniture or mattress pickup. The county transfer station in town takes construction debris, furniture and carpet, limits a household to one item containing Freon a year and takes up to five resident tires a year, while antifreeze, batteries, oil and paint are collected there with a five gallon monthly maximum.

Schedule the town quarterly bulk pickup

A Sahuarita household in a property with four or fewer dwelling units that has furniture, a mattress, an appliance without refrigerant or electronics, and has not used this quarter's pickup.

Cost & conditions
The town states that bulk collection is included in the monthly bill whether it is used or not, at a fixed residential rate of $22.75 a month for the first four years of the contract, and the operator states that some fees may apply depending on the community or location. Confirm the current rate, the account standing and any charge for a load beyond the four cubic yard allowance.
Arrange it
Book the pickup in the operator's app, wait for the confirmed date, then stack the items parallel to the front property line inside the four cubic yard allowance.

One pickup per quarter per zone, booked in advance, with no call-in booking. The account has to be in good standing with the current quarter paid, and the program refuses appliances containing refrigerant, construction material, hazardous household waste, tires, paint, batteries, motor oil, propane tanks and anything with bed bug activity.

Cost & conditions

Arrange it
Drive to the drop-off at the regional landfill on East Los Reales Road during its collection hours, or attend a community collection event on the second Saturday of the month.

The drop-off is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday only and closes on the second Saturday of the month outside the summer pause, and the town routes electronics to two specialist recyclers as well. Batteries, light bulbs and paint collect separately from an appliance or a mattress, so keep them out of a bulk pile.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self-haulers in Sahuarita have two county-contracted options. The first is the Sahuarita Transfer Station at 16605 S. La Canada Rd., one mile south of Sahuarita Road west of I-19, open Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and closed Sunday and on the holidays the county lists. Its document names residential construction debris, furniture, carpet, green waste, dirt, rocks, concrete and bricks, free recycling, scrap metal including washers, dryers, hot water heaters and refrigerators, free resident tire and antifreeze, battery, oil and paint collection, with no fencing, no hazardous or liquid waste, no dead animals and one item containing Freon per household per year. The second is the regional landfill at 5300 E. Los Reales Road, open Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., which names mattresses, furniture, rugs, green waste, concrete and asphalt and construction debris, prices by the covered load or the ton, and charges separately for an appliance designed to use refrigerant. The household hazardous waste and electronics drop-off at the same address runs Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and charges an address in Sahuarita a fee that city residents do not pay, so bring a driver licence or a current utility bill. Confirm the current rate and the accepted material with the site before loading, because the county asks drivers to check and the hours vary by facility. Los Reales Sustainability Campus

The city lists accepted landfill waste as green waste, wooden pallets, mattresses, furniture, rugs, concrete and asphalt, construction debris, mobile homes and animal carcasses, and the same site runs a neighborhood recycling center for mixed recyclables, glass and hard to recycle plastics. The household hazardous waste program based there takes chemicals, batteries, electronics and paint, and its electronics list names televisions, computers, monitors, printers, phones and cables.

Explosives, ammunition, regulated hazardous waste, polychlorinated biphenyls, universal waste, radioactive material, bulk liquids, raw septage, intact automobiles, lead acid batteries and waste oil are not accepted. The hazardous waste program is free only to residents of the city of Tucson and charges a fee for an address in Sahuarita, with a driver licence or a current utility bill needed as proof. Deposit rules apply to heavy residential loads, and a mattress or appliance goes to the landfill side rather than the hazardous waste drop-off.

Landfill Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed Sunday, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Household hazardous waste drop-off Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., closed on the second Saturday of the month outside the summer pause.

From $18 for for a covered residential load under 2,000 pounds, with a covered load above that at $38 per ton, an uncovered load charged $10 more, tires at $5 each for up to ten passenger tires, an appliance designed to use refrigerant at $20 each and an environmental fee of $2 on every load. Residential self-haulers. Call (520) 791-4183 to confirm current rates, and expect a deposit to be based on the estimated weight when a residential load is over 10,000 pounds.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Sahuarita.

How much does TV removal cost in Sahuarita?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Sahuarita?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where does a television go in Sahuarita?

Two routes exist. The operator's bulk guidelines for the town contract list electronics and related items, so a television can ride a scheduled quarterly pickup. It can also go to the regional household hazardous waste drop-off, which lists televisions, computers, monitors, printers, phones and cables and is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday. An address in Sahuarita pays a fee for that program, so bring a driver licence or a current utility bill.Official guidance

Who collects trash and bulky items in Sahuarita?

The town does, through one contract. Sahuarita appointed Waste Connections of Arizona as the exclusive residential hauler for occupied properties with four or fewer dwelling units, so weekly trash, weekly recycling and the periodic bulk collection all come from that company. Apartment complexes of five or more units, commercial buildings and construction sites are outside the program and use private haulers. The operator's customer service line is (520) 881-4227 and the town solid waste desk can be reached at solidwaste@sahuaritaaz.gov.Official guidance

How does the Sahuarita bulk pickup work?

The town divides the community into zones and allows each household one bulk pickup per quarter, booked in the operator's app because call-in scheduling is not available. The date has to be confirmed before anything is placed out, the load is stacked on the street parallel to the front property line where carts normally go, and it is limited to four cubic yards because the crew collects it by hand. The account has to be in good standing with the current quarter paid, and an operator notice states that a bulk run can take up to 48 hours to complete once it starts.Official guidance

Where do paint, batteries and propane tanks go?

The town's hazardous household waste page sends paints, stains and varnishes, cleaners, pesticides, vehicle care chemicals, propane tanks and gas cylinders to the regional household hazardous waste program and its community collection events, and it routes computers, televisions, phones and small appliances to two specialist electronics recyclers. Fluorescent bulbs are sent to a lamp and battery retailer. An address in Sahuarita pays a fee for the hazardous waste program that city residents do not, and the drop-off asks for a driver licence or a current utility bill.Official guidance
