Get it ready
Have a qualified technician evacuate the unit, remove the compressor and tag the appliance in accordance with EPA regulations, and bring the documentation with the unit. A unit without that paperwork should not be loaded.
Separate recyclable material from the rest of the load before arrival, because the stations have designated recycling areas, and arrive early enough to finish unloading before closing time. The last hour of the day is the busiest, and payment is by debit or credit card only because cash is not accepted at any county transfer station.

Can I book if the delivery company did not take my old appliance?+
Yes. Dropcurb pickup is separate from buying or installing a replacement, so you can book removal on its own. If your new delivery is still ahead, confirm the retailer’s haul-away arrangements before booking a separate pickup.
