What to check before scheduling
Read the model and refrigerant label first. If you are using NYC DSNY, arrange the required refrigerant-removal appointment and confirm that the appliance is eligible. If the model uses R600a or R32, DSNY cannot collect it, so ask the appropriate receiving facility or collector which option applies.
Keep the circuit intact. Do not cut lines, dismantle the appliance or release refrigerant yourself. The receiving facility must handle or verify safe refrigerant recovery before disposal.

When Dropcurb fits
For an accepted full-size household refrigerator that you can place outdoors and keep accessible before pickup, Dropcurb handles loading, transport and disposal. Mini fridges and commercial refrigerators have separate item options, so select the matching item and confirm acceptance before pickup. If you need someone to carry the refrigerator out from indoors, use a service that includes indoor carrying.
