Check the item type before you go
Ask about loose weights and dumbbells separately from a weight bench, rack or exercise machine. A regional policy that accepts small free weights does not automatically cover larger equipment. Confirm the complete set with the receiving Goodwill before loading it.
If a set is refused for reuse, check whether its weights can go to a metal recycler.

When Dropcurb fits
If the accepted loose weights or weight bench are already outside and accessible, Dropcurb handles loading, transport and disposal. Free weights are selected in up-to-10-pound units, while a bench and separate racks are added separately. Dropcurb does not provide indoor carry-out; if you need that labor, use a service that includes it.

Frequently asked questions
Does Goodwill take dumbbells?
Some regional Goodwill organizations explicitly accept small dumbbells, but policies vary. Check the specific receiving organization before transporting them, especially if the set is large or includes other equipment.
Can I donate a weight bench with my dumbbells?
Ask the receiving Goodwill directly. Dumbbell acceptance does not establish that a separate weight bench, rack or larger exercise item will be accepted, so confirm both item types before carrying them.
