Check the local ReStore rules first
Do not assume a nationwide refrigerator age limit or free pickup. Ask the ReStore serving your area whether it accepts your refrigerator and whether pickup requires approval, photos, access details or other conditions.

Prepare the refrigerator for review and removal
Have the model or date, dimensions and photos ready, and confirm that the refrigerator is clean, complete and working if your local ReStore requires those conditions. Arrange safe electrical and water-line disconnection when needed. Keep the refrigerant circuit intact.
