Does Salvation Army take TVs?

Salvation Army lists working TVs, but its national FAQ excludes large consoles and televisions more than five years old; local approval is still required. Check the manufacturing label, screen type and working condition before arranging donation because not every newer TV qualifies.

Check the TV before arranging donation

Confirm the manufacturing date or label, identify whether the TV is a console, and make sure it works. Then contact the local Salvation Army donation program for approval and scheduling. Do not assume that every TV under five years old will be accepted.

If the television is refused, compare TV bulk-pickup and electronics-program rules before setting it outside.

If donation is not available

Dropcurb can handle accepted TVs and other accepted leftovers that are already outside and accessible, including loading, transport and disposal. You can book before moving the item outside, but it must be ready at an accessible outdoor location before pickup. If you need someone to carry the TV out from indoors, choose a service that includes indoor carrying.
