When & how
Place the furniture at the curb no earlier than noon the day before collection and by 6 a.m. on the collection day, and schedule a pickup if the pile has more than six items.
Get it ready
Keep the piece off the street, sidewalk and driveway so it does not obstruct the right of way. In a gated complex, leave it at the curb or in the alley because the driver cannot enter beyond the gate.
Bulky items go out on your normal trash collection day, no earlier than noon on the day before collection and no later than 6 a.m. on the collection day, and they must not block the street, sidewalk or driveway or Code Enforcement may ask you to take them back in. Six or fewer items need no appointment, a larger pile is booked with Republic Services, and a gated complex keeps the pile at the curb or in the alley because the driver cannot go beyond the gate.

Construction and demolition debris, tires, car bodies, paint, chemicals, automotive fluids, batteries, fluorescent lights and anything needing more than two people to move are refused, and illegal dumping of those items can bring an administrative fine. Bundles must stay within four feet long, two feet across and 50 pounds each.
Alhambra's curbside routes cover most things: furniture, mattresses and bundled material go out on the bulky sweep, and electronics and appliances ride the scheduled pickup. Self-haul matters for the material the city refuses. Paint, solvents, automotive products, batteries and sharps go to a Los Angeles County household hazardous waste event, which is free with a 15 gallon or 125 pound limit per vehicle, or to the LA/Glendale S.A.F.E. Collection Center on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., while construction and demolition material goes to a certified construction recycler or into a rented bin ordered through the hauler. Can you pick up my couch today?+
Book by 2pm in the pickup address’s local time for same-day pickup. Available dates appear at checkout. Have the couch outside and accessible according to your confirmation. We send pickup updates and photos when it is done; the booking is for a day rather than an exact arrival time.
How do I book a sectional for removal?+
Open Sectional in the sofa choices, count its structural sections, and select any sleeper or reclining feature. Count the sections with their own bases, not loose cushions. The matching catalog choice covers one complete sectional of that configuration. Text a photo before booking if you are unsure.
Will you carry my couch out of my apartment?+
Dropcurb starts outside. Arrange for the sofa to be moved through the apartment and down interior stairs before pickup. We load and haul it away from an accessible outdoor spot. Arrange any dismantling needed to get it outside beforehand.
Do I need to wait at home for couch pickup?+
You do not need to be home when your booked sofa is outside and accessible. Add photos and pickup-location notes to your order so the right pieces are easy to identify. We send updates and completion photos. Confirm any building access restrictions with us before booking.
Can I put a sofa out for the bulky pickup?+
