The cleanup after the work

The project is done. Get your space back.

The new bathroom is ready, but the old vanity is still outside. A replaced door is taking up space you need. Put those leftover items on a pickup plan, with the price settled and updates through the final haul-away.

Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

  1. Arrange the removal work

Have the fixture safely detached and any plumbing or electrical connections handled by an appropriate professional. We do not remove installed fixtures or perform demolition.

  2. Keep the booked items separate

Have the fixtures empty and ready at ground level. Keep them apart from rubble, loose renovation materials, tools and anything you want to keep.

  3. Show the outdoor handoff

Use a permitted outdoor spot with a clear path. Add a location photo and notes on your order page so the right entrance and the right items are easy to identify.

Construction and demolition material

Special rules apply

Construction material is not part of the bulky item pick-up or the household hazardous waste facility, which accepts household waste only. The hauler publishes a separate construction and demolition service with roll-off containers, so a project load goes that way at the hauler's own price.

City cost & eligibility
No Town rate covers construction or demolition debris for a household: the approved schedule prices residential barrels, extra pickups and bulky items, and the hazardous waste facility refuses business and non-household material. The hauler quotes a roll-off or construction and demolition load, so confirm the price with Burrtec at 760-245-8607.
When & how
Arrange the roll-off or the construction and demolition service before the project starts, because the material cannot wait at the curb for the regular collection.
Get it ready
Keep lumber, drywall, roofing, tile and demolition material out of the barrels and off the bulky pile, and keep any business-generated load away from the household hazardous waste facility, which accepts household waste only.

The hazardous waste facility takes household material on Saturdays

The facility at 13450 Nomwaket Road is open every Saturday from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. except on holidays, and it accepts household waste only, so business, biohazardous and radioactive material is refused. Households may bring no more than 15 gallons of hazardous liquid and no more than 125 pounds of hazardous solid material, in containers no larger than 5 gallons, and the accepted list includes paint, oil, batteries, chemicals, televisions, monitors, electronics, tires without rims and medical sharps.

For your Dropcurb pickup

Order a roll-off for a project load

A household or contractor with construction or demolition debris that the curbside programs will not take.

Cost & conditions
The Town rate schedule does not price construction loads for households, and the hauler publishes roll-off and construction and demolition services without a public price, so ask Burrtec at 760-245-8607 for a quote.
Arrange it
Contact Burrtec for a roll-off container or its construction and demolition service before the project starts.

Neither the bulky pickup nor the household hazardous waste facility takes a project load, and the hazardous waste facility refuses business material outright.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Apple Valley's self-haul route for household problem material is the Town facility at 13450 Nomwaket Road, south of Powhatan, which opens every Saturday from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. except on holidays and takes paint, oil, batteries, chemicals, televisions, computer monitors, electronics, tires without rims and home-generated sharps. It is a household service, so business, biohazardous and radioactive waste is refused, and each visit is limited to 15 gallons of hazardous liquid and 125 pounds of hazardous solid material in containers no larger than 5 gallons. Household bulky items such as furniture, mattresses and appliances do not go to the facility: they are collected at the curb through Burrtec, which the account holder schedules by calling 760-245-8607, and the Town's approved rate schedule prices each extra residential bulky item pickup beyond the allowance that customer service confirms. Construction and demolition loads fit neither route, so they go through the hauler's roll-off and construction and demolition service at a quoted price. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Apple Valley.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Apple Valley?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Apple Valley?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Does Apple Valley collect construction debris at the curb?

No. The bulky item pick-up is for household items too large for the barrel and the Town's hazardous waste facility accepts household waste only and refuses business waste, so a project load does not fit either. The hauler publishes roll-off services and a construction and demolition service, which it quotes directly at 760-245-8607.Official guidance
