Choose the right items

One computer setup can be several items.

A separate monitor and tower count separately. Small devices and cables have their own box option. Choose what is actually leaving so your price matches the pickup.

Monitor, desktop or laptop.

Choose Computer monitor for each separate display. Desktop computer covers one tower or one all-in-one computer. A laptop is its own item. Add only the devices going.

Printer or office copier.

A printer with a built-in scanner belongs under Printer. A floor-standing copy machine belongs under Office copier. The shape matters more than the brand.

A box of smaller electronics.

Use Box of electronics for small devices, cables and chargers together in one box. For a large or heavy box, unusual contents or separate batteries, send a photo and confirm the fit before booking.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Cerritos residents have a franchise hauler rather than a city transfer station. Batteries and fluorescent light bulbs drop at the E-Recycling of California facility at 7230 Petterson Lane in Paramount at no additional charge, and household hazardous waste goes to a Los Angeles County round-up event, which is scheduled through (888) CLEAN-LA. For material that the weekly carts and the free bulky pickup cannot take, the City's residential rate sheet publishes container options, including a three cubic yard clean-up bin and a roll-off pull with a six ton limit, both with disposal included. The City also suggests donating usable goods before scheduling a pickup, listing the Salvation Army at (800) SA-TRUCK and the Goodwill donation centers in Norwalk and Long Beach.
