Get it ready
Bundle branches and brush under 18 inches in diameter and four feet long, with no stumps. No single item that cannot be handled by two workers will be accepted, and hazardous waste, construction and demolition waste, tires and car bodies are not eligible.
Bulky items only go out after a pickup is scheduled at (800) 299-4898, and they are collected on the next service day after the request. Keep the pile to six items, keep each piece within what two workers can handle, and leave hazardous waste, construction debris, tires and car bodies out of it.
Branches and brush go out as a bulky item only when they are bundled less than 18 inches in diameter and four feet long, and stumps are not accepted. Paper bags are fine in the organics cart for food scraps, but plastic bags are refused even when they are labeled compostable.

What happens to a holiday tree?+
Holiday trees are collected curbside for recycling during the three weeks after Christmas at no additional charge, on the regular collection day by a different truck.
