Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and demolition debris

Not on the regular city route

Construction debris is named on the refusal list for the Waste Management special collection programme, and Corona publishes no city curbside or drop-off route for renovation material.

City cost & eligibility
Corona publishes no construction collection rate because the city service does not take the material. A private container company or a Riverside County waste facility sets its own acceptance and price, so confirm both before the load leaves the property.
When & how
Arrange a private container or a county facility before the project starts, and keep the material off the curb on ordinary collection days and out of a special collection request.
Get it ready
Keep construction and demolition material out of all three carts and out of the bulk item pile, because the special collection refuses it. Separate treated wood, drywall, roofing and concrete so the receiving site can confirm what it will take, and route paint, solvents and chemicals to a household hazardous waste facility instead.

Batteries, phones and used oil have their own free routes

Household batteries and unwanted cell phones go on top of the recycling cart in a see-through clear plastic bag on the service day, with no scheduling needed, and the accepted types are AA, AAA, C, D and 9V batteries, rechargeable or specialty batteries including alkaline, nickel, silver and mercury types, and cell phones. Embedded batteries, electric vehicle batteries, e-bike and e-scooter batteries and lithium automotive batteries are refused. Used motor oil is collected free on the service day, two gallons per resident plus the filter, with the oil in a clearly marked screw-top container and the filter in a sealed plastic bag, scheduled by calling Waste Management at (800) 423-9986.

Hazardous waste never goes in a cart

Throwing hazardous waste into the trash or recycling containers can cause fires and harm the environment. Riverside County's Department of Waste Resources runs bi-annual household hazardous waste events in the spring and fall for county residents, and permanent facilities are within driving distance, including Agua Mansa in Jurupa Valley on non-holiday Saturdays and the Lake Elsinore maintenance facility on the first Saturday of the month except January and December. Antifreeze, batteries, oil and latex paint can also go to an ABOP site.

City of Corona Utilities Department and Waste Management

Use a Riverside County hazardous waste facility

Riverside County households with paint, cleaners, chemicals, batteries, used oil and filters, fluorescent tubes, aerosols, propane tanks or sharps.

Cost & conditions
The city pages publish the facility locations and hours but no fee, so confirm the current terms with the Riverside County Department of Waste Resources before you load.
Arrange it
Use the bi-annual county collection events in the spring and fall, the Agua Mansa permanent facility at 1780 Agua Mansa Road in Jurupa Valley on non-holiday Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., or the Lake Elsinore City Maintenance Facility at 521 N. Langstaff Street on the first Saturday of the month except January and December, also 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Facilities may close for inclement weather or hazardous conditions without notice. Sharps go in a sealed hard plastic container with no loose sharps and can also be taken to a year-round city sharps kiosk instead.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Corona runs the carts through Waste Management, and everything unusual goes through one of three doors. Large pieces use the special collection programme, up to three times a year for free with six bulk items, five electronic items and 15 universal waste items in a pickup, scheduled at least 48 hours ahead at home.wm.com/corona or with (800) 423-9986, and mattresses have to be wrapped and taped first. Batteries and old cell phones ride on top of the recycling cart in a clear bag with no scheduling, and used motor oil and its filter are collected on the service day in marked and sealed containers. Paint, cleaners, chemicals, oil, sharps and fluorescent tubes never go in a cart: they go to the county's bi-annual collection events or to a permanent county facility such as Agua Mansa in Jurupa Valley. Construction debris is refused by the city programme, so a renovation load needs a private container or a county facility. Household hazardous waste from Riverside County residents, as operated by the Riverside County Department of Waste Resources.

Household hazardous waste only, and the city warns that facilities may close for inclement weather or hazardous conditions without notice. Sharps have to be in a sealed hard plastic container with no loose sharps, and the city's separate sharps kiosks are the year-round alternative.

9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on non-holiday Saturdays.

The city publishes the location and hours without a fee, so confirm the current terms with the Riverside County Department of Waste Resources before you load.

Moreno Valley ABOP Facility

31125 Ironwood Avenue, Moreno Valley, CA 92555

Antifreeze, batteries, oil and latex paint only.

Limited to the four ABOP materials, so nothing else from a project load belongs here. The city warns that these facilities may close for inclement weather or hazardous conditions without notice.

6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, closed on holiday weekends.

The city publishes the site and hours without a fee, so confirm the current terms before you load.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Corona.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Corona?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Corona?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Does Corona collect construction debris?

No. Construction debris is on the refusal list for the Waste Management special collection programme, and the city publishes no curbside or drop-off route for renovation material. A private container company or a Riverside County waste facility takes the load, and paint, solvents and chemicals go to a household hazardous waste facility rather than the debris pile.Official guidance
