Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

When & how

Get it ready
Break the machine down where you can, remove any console or battery pack so nothing with a battery is set out, and keep the pieces within the item size and weight limits.
The bulky service is on call, so the request comes first: the hauler asks for at least 24 hours of notice and tells residents not to place items out without scheduling and receiving a confirmation. Requests can be made through the online form, an itemized email or the phone line, and each pickup allows up to four items a week.
