Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.
Toilets
Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.
Bathroom vanities
Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and demolition debris is on the hauler's prohibited list for the on-call cleanup, along with dirt, rock, brick and cement, and the county hazardous waste facilities refuse construction material too. A project orders a debris box from the franchise hauler instead, and a self-haul load goes to the Vasco Road Landfill at the published construction rates.
City cost & eligibility
The cleanup program does not collect construction debris and does not publish a rate for it. A debris box is quoted by the hauler's sales team after the container size is chosen, and a load driven to the landfill gate is charged at the published construction rate. Confirm the container price or the gate rate before the material leaves the site.
When & how
A debris box is delivered and collected on a date arranged with the hauler. The Vasco Road Landfill gate is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., closed Sunday, with a shortened schedule on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
Get it ready
Separate clean concrete, brick, asphalt, drywall, wood and soil from mixed debris, because the landfill publishes lower rates for clean separated material and adds a hard to handle charge when a load needs special handling. Batteries, chemicals, electronics and mattresses never go in a debris box.
Liquids, loose or unbundled material, items longer than 5 feet, construction and demolition debris, dirt, rock, brick, cement, automotive batteries and fluids, hazardous or infectious waste such as pesticides and items holding oil, gas or Freon, treated wood waste, exercise equipment, car parts, motorcycle parts and tires are all refused. A single item over 75 pounds is also refused unless it is the one allowed appliance or the one allowed furniture piece.
The Vasco Road Landfill weighs and charges every load, adds an environmental fee on every load plus a fuel recovery fee, applies a one unit minimum, and charges extra for an uncovered residential load and for a hard to handle load that needs special handling. Clean separated concrete, brick, asphalt, drywall, wood and soil are charged at lower published rates than mixed debris.

Residential, commercial and municipal garbage, recyclables, organic waste, construction and demolition material including clean drywall, clean brick, concrete and asphalt without rebar, clean soil and wood waste, tires up to nine with rims no larger than 18 inches, mattresses and box springs, metal appliances and white goods, and televisions and monitors.
A one unit minimum applies to every price, an environmental fee and a variable fuel recovery fee are added to every load, an uncovered residential load carries an extra charge, and a hard to handle load such as bulky items needing special handling carries a large additional charge. Out-of-county waste carries an Alameda County fee and non-residential, non-franchise disposal carries a city equalization charge.
Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., closed Sunday, with shortened hours on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve and the day after Christmas treated as a regular working day.
From $51.5 per cubic yard for a residential mixed waste load in the Vasco Road Landfill gate rates effective February 1, 2026, with separated clean material, per-item loads and recycling priced separately on the same sheet. Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?+
Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.
Can remodel debris go out for the on-call cleanup?+

Who collects garbage and bulky items in Livermore?+
Livermore Sanitation, now part of Waste Connections, holds the city franchise and is the only company allowed to collect garbage in Livermore, with its office at 7000 National Drive and its service line at 925-449-7300. Can I take my own load to the Vasco Road Landfill?+
Yes. The gate at 4001 North Vasco Road takes residential loads Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., closed Sunday, and it is operated by Republic Services on a city disposal agreement.
