A Redlands bulky item pickup is scheduled in advance with customer service at 909-798-7529 and collects on the regular solid waste service day when space is available. Requests are taken first come first served and are capped at 20 a day, so anything received after the cap rolls to the next available service day. The material has to be at the curb by 6 a.m. on the scheduled day, and city crews cannot enter a building or a residence to remove an item.
The city's bulky item flyer refuses household hazardous waste, tires, liquids, paints, household chemicals, electronic waste, televisions, computers and electronic appliances. Redlands does not collect on Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day or New Year's Day, and the rest of that week runs one day later. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Cesar Chavez Day, Juneteenth, Columbus Day and Veterans Day do not change the collection schedule. A bulky pickup is booked onto the regular service day, so a holiday week moves it as well.
