Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and demolition material

Accepted with preparation

Construction and demolition material is recyclable material that the landfill will not bury, so it goes to the Recycling Park, which takes drywall, unupholstered furniture, untreated lumber and roofing shingles along with concrete that carries no rebar. Clean dirt and clean untreated unpainted wood have their own lines on the fee schedule, and an unsorted load can be charged the hard to handle rate.

City cost & eligibility
From $25 for for a general waste load of up to 300 pounds at the Santa Maria Regional Landfill on the fee schedule effective January 1, 2026, with 55 dollars from 301 to 1,050 pounds and 105 dollars per ton above that, clean dirt including sod and soil at 15 dollars per load up to 10 yards with pre approval and 30 dollars per ton above that, and clean untreated unpainted green waste or wood waste at 55 dollars up to 1,050 pounds and 105 dollars per ton above that. Santa Maria Regional Landfill customers. Construction and demolition material has to be sorted before it arrives, because an unsorted load is charged the posted hard to handle rate.
When & how
Haul the load to the Santa Maria Regional Landfill at 2065 East Main Street, open Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and take it to the Recycling Park rather than the trash face.
Get it ready
Sort drywall, untreated lumber, roofing shingles and unupholstered furniture into the construction and demolition stream, keep rebar out of concrete, keep treated or painted wood out of the clean wood line, load in the published order with construction and demolition material first, and remember that clean dirt over ten yards needs pre approval.

Load the vehicle in the order the Recycling Park asks for

The Santa Maria Regional Landfill at 2065 East Main Street is open Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the Recycling Park sits ahead of the trash face so recyclable material can be sorted instead of buried. The city asks drivers to load in this order from the cab backwards: construction and demolition material, green waste, scrap metal, appliances, mattresses, tires, cardboard, electronic waste, organics, commingled recyclables and concrete last. State law requires recyclable and organic material to be separated from the trash before arrival, and an unsorted load can be charged the posted hard to handle rate.

Some material may never be buried

The city publishes two lists of material the landfill will not bury. Recyclable material has to be sorted and taken to the Recycling Park, and it covers electronics, glass, construction and demolition debris including drywall, cement and asphalt, metals, organic waste, paper and cardboard, plastics, and the other group of whole tires, white goods and appliances, and mattresses. Hazardous material goes only to the household hazardous waste facility, and it covers automotive fluids, batteries, chemicals and cleaning products, compressed cylinders such as propane, helium and fire extinguisher tanks, fluorescent lights and mercury items, garden chemicals, paints, pool and hobby supplies, sharps and printer cartridges.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Santa Maria.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Santa Maria?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Santa Maria?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.
