A bulky pickup is scheduled by calling Recology at 707.552.3110 with a detailed list of what will be placed near the curb, and items have to be added or removed by calling in advance. If the crew finds more than the list, the hauler may decline the pickup, use an additional free pickup, or charge for an extra collection, so the list decides what leaves.
Two cubic yards, three large items and ten bundles
One single-family pickup covers two cubic yards, which is three feet deep by three feet high by six feet long or about twelve 32 gallon bags, plus three large individual items each within those dimensions and under 100 pounds. Long items such as wood, poles, pipes and rolled carpets must be bundled securely, with a limit of ten bundles at under 30 pounds each.
The flyer refuses car parts such as motors, heads and transmissions, construction and demolition debris such as asphalt, bricks, concrete, dirt, gravel and treated wood, liquids, tires, yard trimmings and hazardous waste.
