The hauler refuses construction and demolition debris in both the containers and the bulky item program and publishes no resident rate for it, so confirm the load and any charge with Athens Services, which offers roll off box and rent a bin services to residents and businesses. Households that haul their own material instead need a self hauler permit from the City first.

Keep dirt, concrete, tile, drywall, rock and loose building material out of every cart and off the bulky pile, and keep hazardous material from the project out of the load because it is refused as well.
Electronic waste must stay out of the carts and is collected free at the City's maintenance yard events and through the Los Angeles County household hazardous and electronic waste program. The City also runs annual household hazardous waste roundups and a sharps container program at the Cortez Park Community and Senior Center.
