Colorado law bans televisions and computers from the trash, and Centennial hosts an electronics recycling event each year, with a fall event published for October 3, 2026, where a food or cash donation to The Salvation Army is requested in exchange. The regional landfill also accepts electronic waste for an additional charge.
City cost & eligibility
From $5 for the minimum cash donation to The Salvation Army Centennial Corps that the city event asks for in exchange for recycling services, with non perishable food accepted instead, and an additional charge for electronic waste at the regional landfill. Centennial residents bringing an accepted device to the city electronics recycling event; no other event fee is published, and the landfill charge is separate.

Attend the event on Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Centennial Civic Center, 13133 E. Arapahoe Rd, and arrive before the 11 a.m. cutoff, or take the device to a recycler found through the state recycling search tool.
Get it ready
Delete personal information from computers, drives and phones before arrival, keep electronics out of the trash and the carts, and leave alkaline batteries, light bulbs, refrigerant containing equipment, mercury items and pressurized tanks out of an event load because the event refuses them.

Arapahoe County's At Your Door Special Collection takes household chemicals, paint, batteries and electronics for a co-pay, and every home pickup starts with the appointment line.

Centennial households that haul their own loads use the Denver Arapahoe Disposal Site at 3500 South Gun Club Road in Aurora, open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., which takes household refuse, construction and demolition debris, yard waste and soil, refuses hazardous and liquid waste, and takes appliances, tires and electronic waste through its recycling center for an additional charge. Mattresses and box springs go to Spring Back Colorado in Commerce City instead, where the drop-off is priced per piece, and household chemicals go through the Arapahoe County At Your Door pickup or a state-wide drop-off. Construction and demolition debris, municipal solid waste, yard waste, clean and contaminated non hazardous soil, biosolids, auto shredder fluff and asbestos, with single stream recycling free at the facility recycling center and appliances, tires and electronic waste accepted for an additional charge.
The facility cannot accept hazardous or liquid waste, and no residential gate rate is published, so confirm the load and the charge before arrival. Payment is by cash, check, credit or debit card or a credit account.
Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed Sunday and on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Data erasure and certified data destruction are not included in Dropcurb removal. Back up the information you need, then follow the manufacturer’s sign-out and reset instructions before pickup. If a device cannot be erased or contains sensitive business information, arrange suitable data handling before giving it away.
