Get it ready
Keep the piece out of the containers, because nothing left outside them is collected on a normal day, and do not set it out before the arrangement is confirmed. A self hauled load has to be taken to the landfill during its open hours, and no hand unloads are allowed in the half hour before closing.
In Lone Tree, only the city containers are collected

Arrange it
Set the yard waste out with the regular collection day during the announced week. In 2026 the spring window was the weeks of May 4, May 11, May 18 and May 25, and the fall window follows the leaf drop in October or November with the dates mailed to households.
Five bundles of branches up to four feet long and ten bags of yard waste up to 40 pounds each per week, and only during the announced weeks, because material outside the containers is refused at any other time.
