The cleanup after the work

The project is done. Get your space back.

The new bathroom is ready, but the old vanity is still outside. A replaced door is taking up space you need. Put those leftover items on a pickup plan, with the price settled and updates through the final haul-away.

Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Have the fixture safely detached and any plumbing or electrical connections handled by an appropriate professional. We do not remove installed fixtures or perform demolition.

  2. Keep the booked items separate

Have the fixtures empty and ready at ground level. Keep them apart from rubble, loose renovation materials, tools and anything you want to keep.

  3. Show the outdoor handoff

Construction and demolition debris

Not on the regular city route

Nederland runs a deposit based construction and demolition debris recycling program for permitted projects, and the cleanup event takes only unpainted scrap wood and yard slash rather than a renovation load.

City cost & eligibility
The deposit is based on project type and square footage and a portion is refundable against the documented diversion rate, so the amount is set case by case. Confirm the deposit, the plan requirements and the refund with the planning department on 352-617-8861 or planner@nederlandco.org before the project starts.
When & how
File the Sustainable Deconstruction Plan with the planning and building department, and ask for an on site public works visit before hauling any material. The cleanup event is a separate June morning and is not a construction drop-off.
Get it ready
Separate the load so diversion can be documented, because a portion of the deposit is only refunded against the documented diversion rate, and keep treated or painted material, concrete and mixed debris out of the cleanup stations.

File the deconstruction plan before hauling

For a permitted project, download and complete the Sustainable Deconstruction Plan and submit it to the planning and building department, and schedule an on site public works visit before hauling any material. The deposit is based on project type and square footage and a portion is refunded against the documented diversion rate, so keep the records that prove where the material went.

Town of Nederland with Boulder County, Eco-Cycle and the community sort yard

File the construction deposit plan

A builder or homeowner with a permitted alteration, remodel, new construction or demolition project.

Cost & conditions
The deposit is based on project type and square footage and only a portion is refunded against the documented diversion rate, so the amount is set case by case. Confirm it with the planning and building department on 352-617-8861 or planner@nederlandco.org.
Arrange it
Download and complete the Sustainable Deconstruction Plan, submit it to the planning and building department, and schedule an on site visit with public works before hauling material.

The program applies to permitted projects, with prefabricated structures and mechanical, electrical, plumbing or HVAC only permits exempt, and the depot refund depends on documented diversion.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self haul in Nederland means driving to the Nederland Transfer Station at 286 Ridge Rd on the first Saturday of June for Town Clean Up Day, when the town, Boulder County, Eco-Cycle, the county hazardous materials program, the community sort yard and a paper shredder all set up stations. Mattresses, CFC appliances, electronics including televisions and monitors, rimless tires, scrap metal, unpainted scrap wood and yard slash are the free recycling streams, and only trash in the dumpsters is charged, by the car or truck bed. Household chemicals go to the county hazardous materials station that day, and the town tells residents to use a local hazardous waste drop off for those products at other times. Nothing else has a published town drop-off: furniture and exercise equipment are not named at any station, and construction and demolition material runs through the town's deposit program for permitted projects with the Sustainable Deconstruction Plan filed at the planning and building department. On Town Clean Up Day the site hosts stations for CFC appliances, cardboard, food scraps, mattresses, lightly used clothes and shoes, hard plastics, single stream recycling, block styrofoam, bicycles, rimless tires, household hazardous material, electronics, logs and yard slash, scrap metal and unpainted scrap wood

Event day only for the combined service, with rims separated from tires before arrival and no electric vehicle batteries or batteries over 300 watt hours. On the year round county days the same site charges by bag, by cubic yard, by large item and by vehicle, takes mattresses, box springs, refrigerant appliances and furniture for the published fees, and refuses slash, computers and other electronic equipment.

Open year round every day except Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. under Boulder County on 303-258-7878. On Town Clean Up Day, the first Saturday of June, cars are allowed in from 8 a.m. until the dumpsters fill, and the town contact is 303-258-3266 extension 1060.

From $2 for 13 gallon bag 2 dollars, 30 to 33 gallon bag 4 dollars, leaf bag 6 dollars, loose trash 16 dollars per cubic yard, a large item such as furniture 25 dollars, a mattress or box spring 30 dollars each, a refrigerant appliance 65 dollars in 2026, and vehicle fees from 25 dollars for a car. Recycling, scrap metal and textiles are free, and the town's June event keeps its own free recycling side.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Nederland.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Nederland?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Nederland?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

What does Nederland require for construction debris?

Eligible commercial and residential projects that need a building permit, including alterations, remodels and new construction or demolition, pay a deposit under the town's construction and demolition debris recycling program, and a portion is refunded against the documented diversion rate. Applicants submit a Sustainable Deconstruction Plan to the planning and building department, and projects needing only mechanical, electrical, plumbing or HVAC permits are exempt.Official guidance

Can scrap wood and slash go to the town?

At Town Clean Up Day the town takes scrap metal and unpainted scrap wood, and the community sort yard takes logs, pine cones, pine needles, bagged grass trimmings and weeds and slash. That is a one day channel for yard and clean wood material, not a route for a renovation load, which goes through the project deposit program instead.Official guidance

Who handles waste in Nederland?

The town does not run curbside collection and publishes no hauler list, so households arrange their own service. The town's own routes are Town Clean Up Day on the first Saturday of June at the Nederland Transfer Station on Ridge Road, the construction and demolition debris deposit program, and a household hazardous waste list that points residents at a local hazardous waste drop off. Public Works is at 303-258-3167 and the sustainability coordinator is at 303-258-3266 extension 1060.Official guidance

How do large items leave a Nederland home?

The town's route for large items is the June event at the Nederland Transfer Station, where mattresses, CFC appliances, electronics, rimless tires, scrap metal and unpainted scrap wood are recycled free and only dumpster trash is charged. Furniture and exercise equipment are not named at any station, so confirm those with the town first, and renovation material goes through the project deposit program instead.Official guidance
