Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

Exercise equipment is not named on the city large item accepted list or in the county guide, so a treadmill or weight machine has to be confirmed with the drop-off before a voucher is bought.

No published list names an exercise machine. If the drop-off treats it as a large item the voucher would be ten dollars, so confirm the item with RecycleWorks on 719-553-2748 before buying the voucher.

Get it ready
Describe the machine when you call and keep it out of the recycling loads, which are limited to the published recyclable list. Remove any battery pack so it can go to a battery drop box separately.
Pueblo sells large item vouchers for ten dollars each, limited to eight per property address each year, and tire vouchers for one dollar each, limited to nine passenger sized tires. Buy them at the Public Works office on 211 E. D Street during weekday business hours or online, because none are sold at the gate, and bring a valid identification or a recent utility bill showing a city address to the site.
The Stockyard Road site takes large items and tires on Thursday and Friday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. with gates closing at 5:45 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with gates closing at 1:45 p.m. It may close when high winds are forecasted, so call 719-553-2748 to check before a trip on a windy day.

Use the city large item drop-off
A City of Pueblo household with a mattress, a sofa, a chair, a table, a dresser or an appliance such as a washer, dryer or stove.

$10 per large item voucher, with a limit of eight vouchers per property address per year. City of Pueblo residents only, with identification or a recent utility bill showing a city address.
Arrange it
Buy the vouchers at 211 E. D Street or online, then deliver the items to Pueblo RecycleWorks at 1595 Stockyard Road during one of the four weekly drop-off windows.
Eight vouchers per address a year, a sectional sofa counts as two items, electronics including computers and televisions are refused, and cooling appliance vouchers were temporarily suspended at this check.

Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
How do I book free weights, a weight rack or a bench?+
