D Street during weekday business hours or online, because none are sold at the gate, and bring a valid identification or a recent utility bill showing a city address to the site.
The Stockyard Road site takes large items and tires on Thursday and Friday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. with gates closing at 5:45 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with gates closing at 1:45 p.m. It may close when high winds are forecasted, so call 719-553-2748 to check before a trip on a windy day.

Large items with a voucher: mattress or box spring, sofa, couch or loveseat with sectionals needing two vouchers, chair including recliner, washer, dryer, stove, refrigerator or freezer, and table or dresser. Tires with a voucher, up to nine passenger sized tires a year, with tires removed from rims. The recycling side takes flattened cardboard, plastics numbered 1, 2 and 5 without lids, glassware, windows, bottles and jars without caps, aluminium cans, pie plates and clean foil, steel and tin cans, mixed paper, and white office paper kept separate.
