Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

No published line covers an exercise machine. A metal-framed machine would ordinarily fall under scrap metal at 4.75 dollars per 100 pounds, free in a resident car, but confirm the classification at the scale house because the item is not named.
When & how
Call the Holly Hill office or ask at the scale on arrival before assuming the piece will be taken as scrap metal.
Get it ready
Describe the machine when you call, remove any battery pack so it is not mixed into the load, and keep the frame separate from household trash so the classification is clear at the gate.
The permit and the scale come before everything else
Every vehicle, residential or commercial, needs a Holly Hill disposal permit displayed to enter, and the permit costs 25 dollars for the year running July 1 to June 30. Buy it online or at the DPW counter in Town Hall on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. by credit card or check, because cash is not accepted. Only waste generated in Greenwich is allowed, and a company hauling on your behalf needs a signed verification of owner form for each load.

Town of Greenwich residents with a valid 25 dollar annual Holly Hill permit displayed in the vehicle, with only Greenwich-generated waste accepted and cargo vehicles weighed.
Arrange it
Buy the permit first, then use the facility Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. or Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon and follow the scale house directions.
A permit is required for every vehicle, outside waste is refused, roll-off and hook-type vehicles carrying dumpsters cannot use the facility unless a licensed Greenwich hauler runs them as a satellite vehicle, and the trash and bulky load rates are confirmed at the scale because the schedule does not carry a furniture or mattress line.
