Flat-screen TVs
Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.
Tube TVs
An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Televisions, computers and stereo equipment are collected at the curb on a scheduled bulk pickup, or dropped free with electronic scrap at the Lena Road Landfill on the third Saturday of each month.

Two routes carry the same devices on different terms. A curbside bulk collection is charged the published flat rate per item on the utility bill, while the Lena Road Landfill day is published as free of charge for Manatee County residents, so choose the route and confirm the curbside charge at 941-708-6340 when the pickup is scheduled.
When & how
Either call 941-708-6340 to add the devices to a bulk collection and put them at the curb by 6 a.m., or take them to the Lena Road Landfill at 3333 Lena Road on the third Saturday of the month between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Get it ready
Keep electronics out of the green cart, the blue yard waste cart and the recycling containers, all of which refuse them. Clear personal data from a computer or phone before it leaves the property, and keep batteries on the household hazardous waste route rather than in any cart.
A bulk pickup is scheduled, and the pile is not left out without the call
Bulk items are collected by request at the published flat rate per item, added to the utility bill, with a separate published fee for each tire. Call 941-708-6340 and have the items at the curb by 6 a.m. on the collection day, and make the call within 48 hours of the items going out, because the City warns that an unscheduled pile may draw an illegal dumping fee.
Hazardous waste and e-scrap go out on the third Saturday
Paint, chemicals, flammables, pool products, batteries and electronic scrap cannot go in any cart, and the hauler will not collect household hazardous waste. Manatee County residents can drop both household hazardous waste and electronic scrap at the Lena Road Landfill, 3333 Lena Road, on the third Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., free of charge.

The City describes household hazardous waste as products labelled flammable, toxic, corrosive or marked danger, warning or caution, which is the category that covers paint, chemicals, pool products and batteries, and electronic scrap covers the devices the hauler will not take in a cart.
The drop-off runs on the third Saturday of each month only, and the City states that the hauler will not collect household hazardous waste at the curb, so this is a self-haul route rather than a collection service. Confirm any load limit when you arrive.
