The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.
Flat-screen TVs
Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.
Tube TVs
An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.
TV stands and other electronics
The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Lee County's Household Chemical Waste and Electronics Recycling Facility at 6441 Topaz Court accepts computers, printers and copiers, scanners, televisions and monitors free from county residents through a drive-through, and the county also allows those items to go curbside with regular garbage in its own programme. The city's FAQ says the city does not collect electronics while its recycling page says a special pickup has to be scheduled, so confirm the current practice with the Solid Waste Division at 239-321-8050.
When & how
Take the device to 6441 Topaz Court, Fort Myers, open 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to noon on the first Saturday of the month, or call the Solid Waste Division if you want the city to schedule a pickup.
Get it ready

Lee County's Household Chemical Waste and Electronics Recycling Facility at 6441 Topaz Court takes chemicals, paint, propane tanks, rechargeable batteries, computers, printers, scanners, televisions and monitors free from county residents through a drive-through, and it also hosts a reuse center that offers latex paint and household chemicals back to residents at no charge. No batteries belong in the recycling cart.

A Lee County resident with paint, aerosol cans, pesticides, pool or spa chemicals, a propane tank, rechargeable batteries, a computer, a printer, a scanner, a television or a monitor.
Cost & conditions
No charge. Drop-off is free to Lee County residents through a drive-through, including rechargeable batteries and leftover frying oil, while business chemical waste is handled at a monthly event for a fee.

Go to 6441 Topaz Court, Fort Myers, open 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to noon on the first Saturday of the month, and check the weather because the facility shuts temporarily during thunderstorms.
