Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and renovation debris

Special rules apply

Building materials are named among the items outside the city's free special pickup list, so a renovation load is collected at a published per cubic yard rate rather than refused. The brush sites separately refuse deposits from construction sites.

City cost & eligibility
From $25.65 per cubic yard for special pickup items outside the free list, which the city names as including building materials, large quantities of accumulated waste and brush. City sanitation customers who request the pickup and confirm the estimate. The Sanitation Department provides an estimate based on quantity for material that is not collected free.
When & how
Request the special pickup in SeeClickFix or at 727-893-7398, ask for the estimate for the cubic yardage, confirm the fee, and then set the load out where the address normally places its trash.
Get it ready
Keep construction material out of the weekly container and out of the brush sites, because deposits from construction sites are prohibited there unless accompanied by the utility bill holder with identification or a signed consent form supplied each day.

Right place.

Free within the list, priced by the cubic yard outside it

The special pickup programme has a published free list with item maximums, and everything else is collected for a fee. Free: car batteries up to five, car tires up to five, doors up to two, empty 20 pound propane tanks up to two, furniture, carpet and appliances up to three cubic yards, kitchen cabinets up to two and windows up to two. Outside the list, the city charges 25 dollars and 65 cents per cubic yard for building materials, brush and large accumulations, and the Sanitation Department provides an estimate based on quantity so the fee can be confirmed first.

Request it, then put it where the trash goes

A special pickup is arranged, not automatic. Submit the request in SeeClickFix and include a photo of the items to help expedite it, or call the Sanitation Department at 727-893-7398. Free items are scheduled by the department, anything outside the free list gets an estimate, and the resident confirms the fee before the pickup. Items go where the address normally sets out its trash: in the alley for an alley collection address, or on the curb for a curbside address. Regular trash and yard waste belong in the designated container rather than loose on the curb or in the alley.

Yard waste and chemicals have their own free routes

Yard material does not need a pickup. Five city brush sites open at 9 a.m. and close at 5:30 p.m. seven days a week, closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day, and they take grass clippings, brush, cuttings, trimmings, yard waste, mixed metals, appliances and cement roofing tiles from properties that pay an active sanitation charge, with proof of residency at the entrance. Household chemicals go the other way, to Pinellas County's household hazardous waste centres, which take paint, automotive fluids, batteries, bulbs, mercury devices, pool and spa products and other chemicals free from county households within published limits, and where the HHW Center at 2855 109th Avenue North also takes electronics and plug-in appliances.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in St. Petersburg.

How much does construction debris removal cost in St. Petersburg?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in St. Petersburg?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

What does St. Petersburg charge to collect building materials?

Building materials are listed among the items outside the free special pickup list, so the city charges 25 dollars and 65 cents per cubic yard. Request the pickup in SeeClickFix or at 727-893-7398, and the Sanitation Department provides an estimate based on the quantity so the fee can be confirmed before the pickup. Construction material is also barred from the city brush sites.Official guidance

Who collects trash in St. Petersburg?

The City of St. Petersburg Sanitation Department collects residential trash from more than 76,000 private household accounts, using the alley or the curb container that the address is assigned, and it runs the special pickup and brush site programmes. Pinellas County Solid Waste runs the household hazardous waste and electronics collection. Sanitation can be reached at 727-893-7398 and the county solid waste office at (727) 464-7500.Official guidance

What does St. Petersburg charge for items not on the free list?

25 dollars and 65 cents per cubic yard for items outside the free list, which the city describes as large quantities of accumulated waste, building materials and brush. The Sanitation Department provides an estimate based on the quantity, and the resident confirms the fee before the pickup.Official guidance

Where do paint, batteries and chemicals go in St. Petersburg?

To Pinellas County's household hazardous waste programme, which the city points to for chemicals such as rechargeable batteries, paint, fluorescent bulbs and fertilizer. The HHW Center at 2855 109th Avenue N is open select days from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., HHW North in Clearwater is open select Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the programme is free for county households within published per vehicle limits.Official guidance

Can anyone use the St. Petersburg brush sites?

No. Use is limited to properties that pay an active sanitation collection charge to the city, with proof of residency checked at the entrance and the address matched either to the city or to the water account for the property where the material originated. The sites take grass clippings, brush, trimmings, yard waste, mixed metals, appliances and cement roofing tiles, refuse plastics, metal and lumber in yard waste, and accept logs only at 2500 26th Ave S.Official guidance
