Plan for doorways, elevators and interior stairs before pickup day. You arrange any indoor carrying. Use a permitted outdoor location and keep entrances and the walking path open.

Ask ATL311 to approve the mattress on a City bulk request. CHaRM separately accepts qualifying spring mattresses and box springs.
City cost & eligibility
For City-served residential addresses, confirm account eligibility and the remaining annual allowance with ATL311. The City lists 12 collections per year and $343.10 after that allowance is exceeded. A load over eight cubic yards counts as additional collection; confirm the total before booking.
When & how
Request collection at least one business day ahead through ATL311, 404-546-0311, or the City tool. Scheduled bulk follows your regular weekly collection day.
Get it ready
For CHaRM, keep bedding dry, free of bugs and not heavily soiled. No crib mattresses, futons, air or memory-foam mattresses, or foam toppers.
Place approved items out after 7 p.m. the day before collection. Keep them at least six feet from carts and yard trimmings, in the right-of-way with mailboxes, cars, branches and power lines clear. Each collection covers up to eight cubic yards; more volume counts as another collection. Evictions, vacant properties and items left by contractors do not qualify.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

Is my box spring or bed frame included in mattress removal?+
The mattress price covers the mattress only. Add your box spring, bed frame or adjustable base separately if those are going too. Choose the size and type that match each item. The combined price appears before booking.
Will you carry my mattress downstairs or out of my apartment?+
Dropcurb starts outside. You arrange to move the mattress out of your apartment and down interior stairs before pickup. We load it and take it away from an accessible outdoor spot. Check your building’s access rules before arranging the move outside.
Can you pick up my old mattress when my new one arrives?+
You can choose an offered pickup day around your replacement delivery. First check whether the retailer already includes old-mattress removal, and arrange who will bring it outside if needed. Dropcurb books a pickup day, not the retailer’s delivery window. Contact us before booking if access is limited to a short time.
Can I take a foam mattress to CHaRM?+
