The city names the materials its Sanitation Department does not collect: tires, batteries, paint cans, rocks, dirt, brick, carpet and building materials, with residents referred to the county for disposal. Commercial and construction material is refused as well, including material produced by tree work, lawn maintenance or home repair and renovation, which the contractor or the property owner has to remove. Household garbage goes in a covered container with plastic liners on the designated pickup day for the address.
