We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.
Toilets
Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.
Bathroom vanities
Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

City cost & eligibility
The City publishes a per unit rate for mixed trash debris but does not name construction or demolition material in its residential streams, and no bulky item list is published either. Confirm the material, the volume and the price with Public Works on 229-259-3585 before the pile goes out, because a project load may need a private hauler instead.
When & how
Confirm with Public Works first. If the material is treated as mixed trash debris it goes out with the bulky stream on the designated service day and is priced by unit, and a load that is refused needs its own hauler.
Get it ready
Separate the load into what can plausibly travel as mixed trash debris and what cannot, keep any pile within the four feet by eight feet by five feet unit or expect a per unit charge, and keep household chemicals and liquids out of the pile entirely. Do not mix construction material into the yard debris pile, which has to stay separate from both household trash and bulk items.
One unit is four feet wide by eight feet long by five feet high, which is 160 cubic feet. A pile under one unit carries no charge, and past that the pile is priced per unit with yard debris at one published rate and mixed trash debris at a higher one, added again for each additional unit and with no limit on the number of units.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

$25.74 for the published monthly fee for residential pickup, which covers once a week collection of garbage, yard trash and bulk items, with piles past one unit charged separately from the published unit table. City of Valdosta residential sanitation customers. One rollout is provided free at each residence, special pickups do not require a call in, and a pile larger than four feet by eight feet by five feet is priced per unit.
Arrange it
Set the three streams out separately on the designated service day, keep the rollout inside the noon to 5 a.m. window, and leave the empty container at the curb no later than noon the following day.
The service covers residential garbage, yard trash and bulk items only, and it does not cover paint, chemicals, liquids or electronics, which need their own route.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?+
Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

How do holidays affect collection?+
The Sanitation Division collects only residential garbage on holidays, so a holiday route is for the green rollout. Household garbage is not collected on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day and is picked up the next day, and junk items and yard waste are collected the following business day.Official guidance
Is curbside recycling still collected?+
No. The City's recycling division moved away from curbside collection to a single drop off site at 3130 Val Tech Rd, where recyclable material has to be clean, dry and empty and cardboard boxes have to be broken down. Anything not on the accepted list is treated as non recyclable and should not go in the trailers.Official guidance
What if I cannot move the container?+
The City offers a walk up service for elderly customers and for anyone whose disability prevents them from rolling the container out when no other able resident lives in the home. A letter from a medical provider on letterhead is required, a long term condition is revalidated every two years, and the paperwork goes to the Public Works office or the published fax number.Official guidance
