Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

City cost & eligibility
The City publishes a bulky pile rate by unit rather than a rate for a machine and does not name exercise equipment, so call the Public Works collection office on 229-259-3590 and confirm the item and its size against the unit table of four feet wide by eight feet long by five feet high.
When & how
If it is accepted, the machine goes out with the bulky stream on the designated service day, separated from the yard debris and the household garbage.
Get it ready
Describe the machine when you confirm it, break down what folds and comes apart, and keep the pieces in one pile rather than setting them out across two service days. Keep the pile behind the curb and clear of the rollout, and expect a per unit charge once the pile passes a single unit of four feet by eight feet by five feet.
One unit is four feet wide by eight feet long by five feet high, which is 160 cubic feet. A pile under one unit carries no charge, and past that the pile is priced per unit with yard debris at one published rate and mixed trash debris at a higher one, added again for each additional unit and with no limit on the number of units.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

$25.74 for the published monthly fee for residential pickup, which covers once a week collection of garbage, yard trash and bulk items, with piles past one unit charged separately from the published unit table. One rollout is provided free at each residence, special pickups do not require a call in, and a pile larger than four feet by eight feet by five feet is priced per unit.
Arrange it
Set the three streams out separately on the designated service day, keep the rollout inside the noon to 5 a.m. window, and leave the empty container at the curb no later than noon the following day.
The service covers residential garbage, yard trash and bulk items only, and it does not cover paint, chemicals, liquids or electronics, which need their own route.

Which option covers a Peloton, spin bike or recumbent bike?+
Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
How do I book free weights, a weight rack or a bench?+
Enter the combined weight in pounds for your dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Booking rounds that total up to the next 10 lb unit: 25 lb uses three units. Stands, racks and benches are separate items and do not include the loose weights. Add each one that is going.

The City publishes a sanitation schedule map and marks the designated day on each green rollout with a color coded sticker that pairs with the map. How do holidays affect collection?+
The Sanitation Division collects only residential garbage on holidays, so a holiday route is for the green rollout. Household garbage is not collected on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day and is picked up the next day, and junk items and yard waste are collected the following business day.Official guidance
Is curbside recycling still collected?+
No. The City's recycling division moved away from curbside collection to a single drop off site at 3130 Val Tech Rd, where recyclable material has to be clean, dry and empty and cardboard boxes have to be broken down. Anything not on the accepted list is treated as non recyclable and should not go in the trailers.Official guidance
What if I cannot move the container?+
The City offers a walk up service for elderly customers and for anyone whose disability prevents them from rolling the container out when no other able resident lives in the home. A letter from a medical provider on letterhead is required, a long term condition is revalidated every two years, and the paperwork goes to the Public Works office or the published fax number.Official guidance
