Find a textile-specific collection point
Search your local waste authority’s directory by material. In Massachusetts, MassDEP points residents to Beyond the Bin for clothing and textile recovery locations. That state-specific directory is an example of the kind of local resource to use, not a nationwide collection service.

Keep reuse and recycling separate
A charity looking for wearable garments may have different rules from a textile recovery program. Ask about stained, torn or otherwise unwearable material before packing it. A clothing donation box does not automatically accept every fabric item from a home clear-out.

When Dropcurb helps
When accepted bagged clothing needs removal, Dropcurb collects the bags outside and accessible. Count each bag and check unusual or oversized loads before booking. Standard pickup provides removal; arrange a textile recycling program directly if you need a confirmed recycling destination.
