Prepare boxes for reuse
Empty the boxes, remove address labels and packing materials, and keep only boxes that are dry, clean and intact. Flatten them if the receiving location allows it, then confirm that the location has space and accepts your box condition.

Use recycling when reuse is not available
If you cannot arrange a reuse handoff, check your local recycling program’s rules for cardboard. Cardboard should be empty, clean and dry; flattening it can save space.

When outdoor pickup is useful
If the boxes are accepted leftovers and you cannot arrange a reuse handoff, Dropcurb can handle loading, transport and disposal for loose empty boxes counted individually or tied bundles of 10 empty, flattened boxes. Select one bundle for every 10 boxes, add leftover boxes individually and remove packing materials. Standard pickup starts with the items outside and accessible; if they are indoors, move them outside before pickup or use a service that includes indoor carrying. You can check the item price and book before moving them outside, but they must be ready outdoors and accessible by pickup.
Review cardboard pickup choices before selecting the empty boxes or tied bundles.
