From $7 for published minimum charge for loads below the stated weight thresholds, alongside per bag, per ton and per appliance rates published on the same page. Scrap metal carries no charge. Open to the public during posted hours. The separate compost site is for Cedar Falls residents only.
Arrange it
Bring material to 1524 State Street, next to the Cedar Falls Recycling Center, during posted hours. The last load is taken at 4:45 p.m. Monday through Friday and 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, and the station began accepting solid waste on Mondays starting June 1, 2026.

Lead-acid batteries, asbestos, fertilizers, paint, antifreeze, hazardous waste, concrete, rock, dirt and railroad ties are not accepted. Large batteries such as car or power wheel batteries are refused, and loose insulation is refused because it must be bagged.
