Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

Des Moines prices its curbside overflow with stickers: a pink Large Item sticker for anything too big for the cart, seven of them for an appliance, a pink Extra Trash sticker for extra items, bags or boxes once the cart is full, and a green Compost It! sticker for bulk tree limbs, branch bundles and holiday trees. The prices sit in the sticker charge records, the stickers are sold at seven locations around the city, and the large item collection is scheduled by calling (515) 283-4950.

$5 for for one pink Large Item sticker per large item, with appliances requiring seven stickers at 5.00 each and extra trash taking a pink 1.00 sticker per item, bag or box. Des Moines households on the city collection service, with stickers bought in advance at one of the seven listed retailers and the pickup scheduled at (515) 283-4950.

The programme prices by sticker rather than by item type, ordinary household trash still belongs in the cart, and anything the city does not accept as a large item has to be confirmed before stickers are bought.
A household with construction and demolition debris or another load the city and the authority do not clearly accept.

The city publishes no construction rate. The Metro Waste Authority takes sorted rubble, concrete, clean wood and metal at no charge per ton and charges a commingled load at its published C&D rate, so confirm the rate and the sort rules with the authority on 515.244.0021 or take a quote from a private container company.
