Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Text us about your setup
  1. Arrange any unmounting first.

Dropcurb does not remove TVs from walls or do indoor carrying. Arrange the help you need before pickup day, including the trip down interior stairs or through an elevator.

  2. Choose a permitted outdoor spot.

Use a stable, accessible location with a clear path for loading. Keep the TV separate from anything staying. Check building rules before placing it in a shared pickup area.

  3. Show us the TV that is going.

Add a location photo and access notes after booking. Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. For exposed broken glass or unusual damage, send a photo and check with us before booking.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self-hauling in Boise mostly means the Ada County Landfill, which handles tires, clean heavy building material and televisions through separate areas and charges by weight at the gate. Household hazardous waste has its own free resident drop-off at the landfill on Fridays and Saturdays, and a mobile site schedule covers smaller loads closer to home. County landfill and recovery area

Tires, clean concrete, asphalt, bricks and pavers through the Recovery and Diversion Area, and televisions through the electronics area past the scales.

A drop is limited to 12 tires of any size unless more is approved by phone, and large tractor tires also need approval. The recovery area takes clean concrete and asphalt only; a load containing trash, dirt or metal may be rejected.

Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Landfill loads are weighed at the gate and priced by material, so confirm the current cost for your load. Tires are charged per tire, with the rate rising on October 1, 2026.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?
