The local disposal guide
Caldwell residential trash and recycling are a city-billed utility. The City of Caldwell's Utility Billing page lists Residential Solid Waste & Recycling, takes billing questions, extra cans and recycling on its own line, and sends missed pickups, damaged carts and commercial service to Republic Services, the contracted hauler. Its Recycle & Trash Handbook is the item guide: household trash must sit inside the contractor cart with the lid closed, large items such as furniture and appliances are collected year-round by appointment for an additional fee, and two cleanup weeks a year collect bulky items, tied bundles and non-Freon appliances at no extra charge. Electronics and other hazardous products are not part of the cart route: the city sends them to Pickles Butte Sanitary Landfill in Canyon County or to its free household hazardous waste events.
