Bulk trash needs to be scheduled at least two business days before the garbage day through 311, and the city's examples are scheduling by Monday for a Wednesday collection and by Friday for a Tuesday collection. Keep the load to furniture, mattresses and box springs, and non-freon appliances, wrap any mattress or box spring completely in plastic, and place the items at least three feet from the garbage cart so the truck arms do not catch on them.
