Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

The city names one piece of furniture per week as its large item and does not list exercise equipment, and it publishes no separate fee, so confirm whether a machine is taken as the weekly large item with Public Maintenance and Refuse at 765-453-4030.

Break the machine down where you can, remove any battery pack so it does not go into the wrong stream, and keep it out of the recycling tote and off the limb pile.

The city collects large items once a week and only on your regularly scheduled collection day, with the item at your pickup location by 7 a.m. that morning, and the named large item is one piece of furniture per week. Televisions cannot be collected at the curb because the city cites Indiana law, so they go to the county electronics route instead.
Limbs go out in bound bundles and leaves follow a seasonal schedule
Limb crews work a rotation that starts in the southern part of the city and moves north, and they take tree branches, brush, plant stalks and shrubs no more than four inches in diameter, cut to lengths of no more than three feet and bound into bundles of no more than 50 pounds. Leaves are collected four times a season, bagged leaves are not taken during that collection, and bagged leaves go out with the trash at other times of the year.
