No charge. Baltimore County households, inside the two scheduled bulk collections a year of up to three items each or at any drop-off center within the annual ten-visit allowance.
When & how
Either include the device in a scheduled bulk collection or drop it at the Central Acceptance Facility in Cockeysville, the Western Acceptance Facility in Halethorpe or the Eastern Sanitary Landfill in White Marsh during open hours.
Get it ready
Keep devices dry, bring the cables if you have them, and count each large item against the three-item bulk limit. Small appliances, audio equipment, cell and landline phones, printers, scanners, copiers, cameras, cables, drones and computer parts are on the drop-off electronics list, and the county asks residents to check a manufacturer take-back or donation program first when the device still works.
Single stream recyclables are mixed together in one container: a blue bin, a can marked RECYCLE, a small cardboard box whose contents go with it, or a paper bag or bundle tied with non-plastic string for paper and cardboard. No plastic bag of any type or colour may be used to set out recyclables, even one sold as a recycling or compostable bag.
The county assigns each single-family home and town home two bulk collection dates a year and mails them, so no request is needed. If a collection is cancelled for weather, the make-up is usually the next business day, and the county posts collection status for residents to check.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

Load the vehicle yourself and unload at the facility; the county states that attendants do not help unload bulk items. Bring the material during opening hours, and remember that no vehicle is admitted to the Eastern Sanitary Landfill after 3:15 p.m.
The three centers keep different hours and take different hazardous waste lists. Household paints are limited to 20 gallons per visit at the Central Acceptance Facility, and fluorescent bulbs are limited to 10 per delivery per day.
