City cost & eligibility
$35 per City Bulky Load of up to four cubic yards. Raleigh residents receiving City curbside garbage collection; no businesses. Charges appear on the utility bill in full-load increments without proration. Confirm dimensions and total loads when booking.

Get it ready
Include each mattress and box spring in the request; confirm any wrapping or damaged-item preparation before set-out.
Put the approved load on a flat curbside area on the scheduled day, outside the street and five feet from vehicles, poles and mailboxes. Use the main street in front of the home, not an alley. Townhomes without a front driveway should follow the City’s parking-space placement instructions when booking. Do not use a container you want to keep.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.
Mattresses and box springs, with a combined maximum of two per resident per day.
Wake County residents disposing of their own household waste only; no business or contractor waste. Secure open loads; children and pets must stay in the vehicle. Box trucks, enclosed trailers and dual-axle trailers require a Trash Pass. Out-of-state plates or commercial/marked vehicles require a Waste Verification Form. No hazardous waste, appliances or electronics in this Site 7 load. Residency verification and a legible Waste Verification Form are required for mattresses and box springs.
Daily, 7 a.m.–7 p.m., except county holiday closures. Check current container capacity before traveling.

Can I book same-day mattress pickup in Raleigh?+
Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates shown at checkout. Have the mattress outside and accessible according to your confirmation. Your booking is for a day rather than an exact arrival time, and we text you when your hauler is on the way.
Is my box spring or bed frame included in mattress removal?+
The mattress price covers the mattress only. Add your box spring, bed frame or adjustable base separately if those are going too. Choose the size and type that match each item. The combined price appears before booking.
Will you carry my mattress downstairs or out of my apartment?+
Dropcurb starts outside. You arrange to move the mattress out of your apartment and down interior stairs before pickup. We load it and take it away from an accessible outdoor spot. Check your building’s access rules before arranging the move outside.
Can you pick up my old mattress when my new one arrives?+
You can choose an offered pickup day around your replacement delivery. First check whether the retailer already includes old-mattress removal, and arrange who will bring it outside if needed. Dropcurb books a pickup day, not the retailer’s delivery window. Contact us before booking if access is limited to a short time.
Can I drop off a mattress instead of booking collection?+
