Get it ready
Keep the pile to three household furniture pieces and put it out where the collection crew can reach it. Batteries, construction waste, medical waste, yard waste and loose rubbish belong in other routes, and couches are not accepted at the Recycling Yard.
Bayonne collects garbage and recycling at night and asks residents not to put anything out before 3 p.m. on the night of collection, because an early set-out can bring a fine. Garbage pickup starts at 8 p.m. and recycling at 9 p.m., and both follow the same three zones: 1st to 16th Street, 16th to 32nd Street and 32nd to 63rd Street.
