Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.
Toilets
Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.
Bathroom vanities
Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and demolition material is barred from the city trash and recycling carts, and ReWorks refuses construction debris at its hazardous waste collection, so a renovation load needs its own arrangement.
City cost & eligibility
No city or ReWorks construction route or rate is published for households. Confirm the receiving site and price with the 3-1-1 Call Center at 330-375-2311 or a private hauler before the load moves.
When & how
Arrange a private container or receiving site before the work starts, and keep the material away from the curb on collection day and away from the weekly large item pile.
Get it ready
Keep concrete, plaster, dirt, sand, gravel, bricks, drywall, roofing material and demolition debris out of the carts, because the city lists them as not permitted, and keep them out of the ReWorks hazardous waste load, which refuses construction debris.
ReWorks takes household hazardous waste at 1201 Graham Road in Stow on Thursdays from 2 to 7 p.m. during its season, and no container may be larger than five gallons. Only material generated at your own Summit County home is accepted, and nothing from a business, school, non-profit or government source qualifies. Asbestos, embedded batteries, compact fluorescent bulbs, fluorescent tubes and mercury items each have their own packing instructions, and latex paint, electronics, Freon containing appliances, scrap tires and construction debris are refused.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.
Most of Akron's bulky material never leaves the neighbourhood: furniture, mattresses, couches, televisions, bookcases, doors, bicycles, windows and tied bundles go out on the normal weekly collection day three feet from the city cart, and a whole cleanout uses one of three Special Bulk Volume pickups a year booked a working day ahead. What has to be hauled is the material the city and ReWorks both refuse at the curb: household chemicals, which go to the seasonal ReWorks collection at 1201 Graham Road in Stow on Thursdays during its season, and scrap tires, which ReWorks says have no free disposal option and which go to a tire vendor. Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?+
Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.
Where does construction debris go in Akron?+
